Local use

Core features work without an account. Tasks, scheduled time blocks, habits, check-ins, session history, and resume notes are saved in the app database or browser storage. Clearing browser data, uninstalling, or device loss can remove local records. Export a backup or enable account sync to keep another copy.

Optional accounts and sync

Firebase processes your email and authentication information. Verified accounts can upload task names and schedules, habit names and check-in dates, notes, session timestamps, durations, categories, timezones, and registered device identifiers. Guest work is imported only when you choose to add it. Records are scoped to your account and are not publicly visible.

Cloud requests use encrypted connections. This is not end-to-end encryption: authorized backend services can process synced records to provide the service.

A profile photo is optional. When you choose one, the app crops and resizes it to a small JPEG, discards original image metadata, and uploads only that processed image to private Firebase Storage for your verified account. Other users cannot view it. Your devices cache a local copy for offline display. You can replace or remove it in Profile; account deletion also removes its active cloud object. Deleted photos may remain in Google Cloud Storage soft-delete recovery for seven days before provider cleanup. Guest photos stay on this device.

Subscriptions

Google Play and RevenueCat process purchases and subscription status. Entitlements are linked to your account for cross-device access. We do not receive your full card details. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription.

Permissions and third parties

Notifications are optional. Timer completion alerts are scheduled locally. If you enable cloud alerts on Android, Firebase Cloud Messaging processes an installation token, notification preferences, reminder time and timezone, and general daily-reminder or session-handoff messages. Notification text excludes task titles and notes. You can turn off cloud alerts in Settings; signing out revokes the installation token. Delivery depends on network, operating-system and battery settings. Short-lived delivery jobs are retained for up to seven days before asynchronous cleanup; stale token ownership records expire after 35 days. Account deletion disables pending delivery immediately. FocusTime does not need camera, microphone, contacts, or location access. Firebase App Check and its providers process network, device, and integrity signals for abuse protection. The Free Android plan includes Google AdMob banner ads on Home and Tasks. Focus timers, breaks, and account screens do not display ads. Pro removes ads. Google’s Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform SDKs may process IP addresses, advertising identifiers, device information, ad interactions, and consent choices for ad delivery, security, and measurement. We request non-personalized ads and gather applicable consent before initializing ads; non-personalized ads may still use local storage and identifiers where permitted. Task titles, notes, habit content, and calendar schedules are never included in ad requests. Use Settings → Data & backups → Ad privacy choices to manage available regional privacy options. The Preview build uses Google test ad IDs and leaves test ads off until you enable them. Firebase/Google Cloud, Google AdMob/UMP, Google Play, and RevenueCat process data when their services are enabled. Their privacy policies also apply.

Task titles and notes are excluded from diagnostic messages. This build sends no behavioral analytics or AI-provider requests.

Export and deletion

Settings provides JSON export and account controls. Deactivate signs out devices and pauses cloud access while keeping your data; a fresh sign-in reactivates access after cleanup finishes. Erase workspace removes synced work and the active profile photo while keeping your login and subscription. Delete account also removes your Firebase login. These actions require a recent password confirmation and run through retryable server cleanup jobs. Old device writes are blocked; an erased workspace clears its cached records before syncing again. Copies retained on offline devices must be erased separately if those devices never reconnect. Guest users can erase the current local workspace; the earlier-version recovery archive is kept.

Provider-managed backup retention and payment-provider records follow their retention policies. Subscription expiry does not delete your work. Minimal account-state and closure markers prevent stale authenticated requests from recreating erased or deleted records. Completed cleanup-job metadata expires after seven days through asynchronous provider cleanup.

You can request account deletion without reinstalling FocusTime by emailing contact@quabe.in from your registered account email with the subject FocusTime account deletion. We verify account ownership before processing the request. Do not send your password or verification codes.

Your choices

Use local features without signing in, decline notifications, sign out, export, or delete your account. On shared browsers, erase local records before leaving. Browser storage and notifications remain subject to device settings.

Website and contact requests

The public FocusTime website is served by Firebase Hosting. Hosting providers process network request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the service. The marketing website has no account login, payment form or behavioral analytics. Email links open your chosen mail app; no support or deletion request is sent until you send the email. Messages you send are used to respond to your request and verify account ownership when needed.

Audience and contact
